Lower Lewis Falls

After a long drive and a bumpy dirt road, thinking there is no way there is anything this far from civilization, you find this jewel. Campground tends to be booked up about a year in advance, but you may park along the road and hike in.

This spectacular falls is beautiful year-round, but if you happen to go in the summer bring water shoes as you can walk right up to the right side and touch the flowing water. Swimming in the depths below the falls on the left is magical, and so cleansing of one's soul.
